Zagonek Vecheslav Frantsevich
(1919 - 1994)

Vecheslav Frantsevich Zagonek was born December 19, 1919 in Irkutsk, East Siberia.
In 1950 Vecheslav Zagonek graduated from the Repin Institute of Arts in Boris Ioganson workshop.
He studied of Mikhail Bernshtein, Alexander Zaytsev, Genrikh Pavlovsky, Semion Abugov, Gleb Savinov.

Since 1939 Vecheslav Zagonek has participated in Art Exhibitions.
He painted genre scenes, historical paintings, landscapes.
His personal exhibitions were in Leningrad in 1966 and 1990, and in Moscow in 1966.
Since 1950, Vecheslav Zagonek was a member of Leningrad Union of Artists.
Vecheslav Zagonek was awarded the honorary titles of the Honored Artist of the Russian Federation (1963), the Honored Art Worker of the Russian Federation (1968), the People's Artist of the Russian Federation (1979), and the People's Artist of the Soviet Union (1985).
In 1965, he was awarded a silver medal of the Academy of Arts of the USSR.
In 1977 Vecheslav Zagonek has become a prize-winner of the Repin Prize of the Russian Federation.
In 1988 Vecheslav Zagonek was elected a member of the Academy of Arts of the Soviet Union.
Vecheslav Frantsevich Zagonek died in Saint Petersburg in 1994.

Zakharian Ruben Agasievich
(1901 - 1993)

Ruben Agasievich Zakharian was born July 14, 1901 in Tbilisi, Georgia.
In 1927 Ruben Zakharian graduated from the Leningrad Vkhutein - Higher Institute of Industrial Art (before 1918 was known as the High Art School under Imperial Academy of Arts; since 1944 known as the Repin Institute of Arts).
He studied of Kuzma Petrov-Vodkin, Alexander Karev.

Since 1926 Ruben Zakharian has participated in Art Exhibitions.
He painted portraits, landscapes, still lifes, sketches from the life.
His personal exhibitions were in Leningrad in 1974, and in 1983.

Zakharov Sergei Efimovich
(1900 - 1993)

Sergei Efimovich Zakharov was born November 26, 1900 in Alexandrovsk town, Sakhalin Island.
In 1927 Sergei Zakharov graduated from the Tomsk Institute of Architecture and Constraction.
Since 1928 Sergei Zakharov has participated in art exhibitions.
He painted still lifes, portraits, landscapes, genre scenes, worked in watercolours, tempera, and monumental painting.
In 1930-1950s Sergei Zakharov a lot worked in Tajikistan, where designed the interiors of public buildings.
In 1951Sergei Zakharov was awarded the honorary title of the Honored Art Worker of Tadzhik Republic.
Sergei Zakharov most famous for his watercolors of fruits and flowers, also for paintings devoted to Middle Asia.
His personal exhibitions were in Leningrad (1951, 1980, 1984), Saint-Petersburg (1996), and Moscow (1961, 1965).

Sergei Zakharov was a member of the Leningrad Union of Artists since 1938.

Maria Abramovna Zubreeva was born August 21, 1900 in the village of Korukovka, Chernigov Province, Ukraine.

In 1930-1950s Maria Zubreeva together with husband artist Sergei Zakharov a lot worked in Tajikistan, where she designed the interiors of public buildings.
